5022 PTE. B. BRIERLEY. MM. LANCS.FUS.

 

I have no biographical information about this man.  His medal records give only his initial so I don’t even know his first name.

 

We know only that he served with the Lancashire Fusiliers, landing in Gallipoli on 29 September 1915.

 

His Military Medal was announced in the London Gazette on 9 December 1916 (Supplement no. 29854, p12342).

 

He subsequently transferred to the Royal Air Force, with new service number 125674.
